The Council set in a regular session with the following embers present:

The meeting was called to order by the Honorable William Y. Nash. Mayor. The invocation was presented by
Reverend Martin Jones of the Second Baptist Church.
CONSIDER THE MINUTES'OF'THE PREVIOUS MEETING
Counctlmesber Corley wade the motion to adopt the minutes of the meeting of Apr11 13, 1982 and Councileesber
Monday seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed unanimously.

Moot Nash eoted he has proclaimed April 30. 1982 as Bata Sites Phi Day.
Public Notices and Newspaper Clippings _ Surface Water Prdiect -
Nayor Nash advised the Council that on display in the Conference Room were numerous newspaper articles which
appeared in the Huntsville lens over the years as the surface water project developed. which is an indication that
the subject has been well documented by the press and widely publicized to the public. Counciisember Monday asked
that this information be available on Water Day! in Huntsville. now in the planning stages.
ORDINANCE
Exotic Animals — Ordtnance No. 82 -10
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE. TEXAS PROHIBITING THE KEEPING
OR MAINTAINING OF ANY WILD OR EXOTIC ANIMALS WITHIN THE CITY; DEFINI86 WILD ANIMAL; PR0-
YIDIN6 A PENALTY OF UP TO 5200 A DAY; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS AND FINDINGS RELATED THERETO.
Councllmember Drown made the motion to adopt Ordinance No. 82 -10 and Councilrcmber Dowling seconded the
motion. City Attorney Scott Bounds noted the inclusion of item `(23) Swine (Suidae)` could be deleted Imo this
ordinance as It Is already covered in another section of the Code of Ordinances. This deletion was accepted by
Counctlmembers Dram and Dowling. All were in favor of the ordinance and it passed unanimously.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, ENDORSING AND
SUPPORTING THE CITY'S WASTEWATER PRETREATMENT PR0GRAM; AND MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS
AND FINOIN65 RELATED THERETO.
Counctlwenber Corley made the motion to adopt Resolution No. 82 -9 and Councllmenber Monde, seconded the
notion. A11 were in favor end the motion passed unanimously.

Consider Quarterly Financial Report
The Council reviewed the quarterly financial report for the period ending March 31, 1982. No formal action
was taken.
Consider the Quarterly Tax Report
Councllmeaber King made the motion to approve the Quarterly Tax Report (February and March, 1982) end
Counctlwember Brawn seconded the motion. All were to favor and the motion passed unanimously.
Consider the Mid -Year Budget Adjustments
Counctleenber Monday made the motion to approve the mid -year budget adjustments as presented by Ms. Patricia
Allen, Director of Finance, dated April 15. 1982 and Counctlmeaber Corley seconded the motion. A11 were in favor
and the motion passed unanimously.
Update-- Projected Pater Revenues -- Various Contingency Fund Balances
The Council reviewed the water and sewer revenues generated at mid -year for the last several years, noting
that revenues will be slightly to excess of the budget if past trends hold true. The Concil also reviewed the
- contingency balances as of April 14, 1982.
