WHEREAS, Section 17 -4, Chapter 17, of the Code of Ordinances of the
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, states that there shall be charged and collected
a tapping charge for all new water services connected to the City Water
System in such amounts as may, from time to time, be fixed by the City
Council of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS; and
WHEREAS, Section 17 -21, Chapter 17, of the Code of Ordinances of the
CITY OP HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, states that there shall be made and collected
by the City monthly charges for sewer services for each residence, hotel,
or office, business house or other building or structure, where any bathtub,
sink, commode, lavatory or any other connection or drainage whatsoever of
any kind is made with the sewer system of the City, in such sum as may,
from time to time, be fixed by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, has caused
to be made a complete analysis of the comparative costs of water and
sewer taps both inside and outside the limits of the said City and has
determined what the reasonable and necessary costs for such taps should
be and pursuant to the said Code of Ordinances of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
the said City Council now desires to set the charges for water and sewer taps.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that pursuant to Sections 17 -4 and 17 -21, Chapter 17,
of the Code of Ordinances of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that from and
after the date hereof and until further directed by Resolution of the
City Council of the said City that charges for water and sewer taps to
City water and sewer lines both inside and outside the limits of said
City shall be:

WHEREUPON, said Resolution was duly made and seconded and passed upon
unanimous vote of the said City Council on this the 13th day of rim/ A. D.,
1975, and in witness whereof the Mayor and the City Secretary of said City
have hereunto set their hands and caused the seal of the City to be affixed
hereto.
