AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, VALI
RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING CERTAIN ORDINANCES HERETOFORE PASSED BY THE CI
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, heretofore, certain ordinances duly passed, on proper rea
were not published in the official newspaper of the City and such ordin
in their entirety having been codified in the Code of Ordinances of the
of Huntsville and whereas the City Council desires to validate, ratify,
and confirm such ordinances;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, that the hereinafter listed ordinances of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, are hereby validated, ratified, and confirmed and are
hereby declared to be in full force and effect, insofar as the required
publication is concerned, as if originally published in compliance with all
the requirements of the Charter of the City of Huntsville, Texas.
An Ordinance numbered 75 -1, adopted on January 28, 1975, amending
Chapter 6 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, b
amending Section 6 -2, specifically amending Section 103.4 (4) of the Southern
Standard Building Code as previously adopted by the City of Huntsville nd
declaring an effective date.
An Ordinance numbered 75 -3, adopted on March 25, 1975, amending Chapter
17, Section 17 -8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, T xas
by adding a subparagraph providing that upon the trial of any cause in hich
the violation of said ordinance is sought to be proved, prima facia pr f
shall be established upon proof of the person in whose name said water eter
is listed in official city records or the occupant of the premises served by
said water meter, and providing for an effective date.
An Ordinance numbered 75 -8, adopted on June 10, 1975, amending Sec ions
5 -4, 5 -5, 5 -8, and 5 -9 of Chapter 5 of the Code of Ordinances of the Ci y of
Huntsville, Texas, by deleting certain terminology within such section nd
inserting in lieu thereof terminology authorizing the Chief of Police t make
appointments to the Auxiliary Police Unit of the City of Huntsville, by changing
the qualifications of applicants for appointment, authorizing the Chief of
Police to authorize the uniform, and by authorizing the Chief of Police, to
expel from membership members of such auxiliary police unit for good cause shown,
and providing for an effective date.
An Ordinance numbered 75 -10, adopted July 8, 1976, amending Chapter 6,
Section 6 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by
changing the edition of the Southern Standard Building Code adopted for use
by the City of Huntsville to the 1973 Edition with 1975 Amendments, pro iding
a savings clause for all amendments to the 1969 Edition of the Southern Standard
Building Code passed by the City of Huntsville since February 23, 1971, and
providing for an effective date.
An Ordinance numbered 75 -17, adopted September 23, 1975, amending an
ordinance dated June 8, 1971, and called the Industrial Waste Ordinance of the
City of Huntsville by amending Section 17 -58(c) of such ordinance as codified
in Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville by revision
of the formula and conditions of surcharge for discharge of industrial s'aste,
and providing for an effective date.

An Ordinance numbered 75 -18, adopted on November 25, 1975, amend' g
Chapter 14 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas,
commonly known as the Plumbing Ordinance of the City of Huntsville, Texas
by amending Sections 22.2, 14.3.2 and 12.1.5 thereof by eliminating the
permissible use of plastic piping for gas piping, by requiring two way
clean outs for sanitary sewer lines, and by setting minimum standards far
plastic ABS or PVC piping, and providing for an effective date, and by otherwise
finding that the 1975 Edition of the suggested plumbing code published by the
Texas Municipal League is substantially identical to the present plumbi g code
of the City of Huntsville, Texas, and authorizing the use of the 1975 Edition of
suggested plumbing code as reference material by City offices by making notations
of differences.
An Ordinance numbered 75 -22, adopted on December 16, 1975, amending Chapter
10 A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by rep aling
Section 10 A -12, and by adopting for use in the City of Huntsville, Tex s, the
1973 Edition of the Standard Mechanical Code together with the 1975 rev'sion
thereof, designating the within ordinance as Section 10 A -12 and the se tions
and subsections of the Standard Mechanical Code to be inserted in Secti n 10
A -12 as numbered in said Standard Mechanical Code, and providing an eff ctive
date.
An Ordinance numbered 76 -1, adopted on January 13, 1976, amending Chapter
9, entitled "Garbage and Refuse" and Chapter 11, entitled "Health and Sanitation"
of the Code or ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by adding definitions
to Chapter 9, Section 9 -1, and by amending Section 9 -7 to conform with other
amendments to the Health and Sanitation Code of the City of Huntsville, by
amending said Health and Sanitation Code by adding a new section to be known
as Section 11 -26, providing for reclamation permits to be issued to allq'w
accumulation of certain materials for reclamation of real property, by ending
Section 11 -25, to eliminate conflicts with the new Section 11 -26, and p oviding
an effective date.
An Ordinance numbered 76 -2, adopted January 13, 1976, amending Chapter 8, Section
8 -1, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by adopting the
Standard Fire Prevention Code published by the Southern Building Code C•ngress
International, Inc., 1974 Edition, which code sets forth rules and regu ations to
improve public safety by promoting the control of Fire hazards, regulat' g the
installation, use and maintenance of equipment; regulating the use of s ctures,
premises in open areas within the City; providing for the abatement of fire hazards;
establishing the responsibilities and procedures for enforcement; settin• forth
standards for compliance; providing penalties for the violation thereof, and
repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith a • providing
for an effective date.
An Ordinance numbered 76 -3, adopted January 29, 1976, amending Chap er 11 B
Section 11 B -13 by changing the due date for owners, operators or manage s of
mobile home parks to furnish the City of Huntsville a complete listing o mobile
home owners residing within mobile home parks.
An Ordinance numbered 76 -4, adopted February 24, 1976, amending Sec ion 13
of Ordinance No. 72 -7, commonly called the Subdivision Ordinance of the ity of
Huntsville, Texas, by providing that no building permit shall be issued or

construction of improvements on any lot or subdivision until the otree upon
which such lot is situated is completed, and all water, sewer, and oth
utilities available to said lot, with all of such improvements to be c*' pleted
according to specifications and standards of the Subdivision Ordinance and
with such ordinance further amending Chapter Six (6), of the Code of 0 divaoces
of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by adding a sentence to Section 105 (a)
providing that all building permits issued under such building code sh 11 be
further controlled by the provisions of the Subdivision Ordinance of t e City
of Huntsville, and declaring an effective date for such ordinance.
An Ordinance numbered 76-9, adopted June 29, 1976, amending Section 12-33
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of 800tsville, Texas, by antbpzi

An Ordinance numbered 76-10, adopted on July 20, 1976, amending C apter
4A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, entitle
"Automobile Wraokeza," by adding new sections regulating the operation and
licensing of wreckers upon the City streets, providing penalties for the
violation thereof, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances io
conflict therewith and providing for an effective date.
