AND WIFE, OLIVE ROSS PRAYTOR, TO ANNEX CERTAIN LANDS
CONTIGUOUS TO AND ADJACENT TO THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE
OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE IN WALKER COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, by petition of M. E. PRAITOR and wife, OLIVE ROSS
PRAYTOR, duly filed herein for more than five (5) days and less
than thirty (30) days, for the annexation of certain vacant
land, without residents:, coley owned by M. E. Praytor and wife,
Olive Rose Praytor, and which petition is hereby granted.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Huntsville,
that the land situated in Walker County, Texas, adjacent to and
contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Huntsville, Texas,
deeoibed as follows:
Being all of that part of 48.8 acres lying west of the pre=
sent city limits of the City of Huntsville, Texas, between the
present west boundary line of the City of Huntsville and the east
line of Interstate Highway No. 45, and a part of a 65 acre tract
described in a deed from Leda B. Thomason to M. E. Praytor et al,
dated November 13, 1952, recorded in Volume 143, Page 488, of
the Walker County Deed Records;
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of said 65 acre tract,
same being the northeast corner of a tract owned by the Estate
of Herbert Thomason;
THENCE N 70° E 1220.4 feet, stake for corner;
THENCE S 1975 feet with center of Hickory Drive;
THENCE W 25 feet to the west line of Hickory Drive;
THENCE S 212 feet, continuing with west line of Hickory
Drive.,2° 50' E 303.4 feet and continuing further with the west
line of Hikory Drive, S 43.3 feet, stake for corner;
THENCE S 84° W 119.7 feet, stake for corner;
THENCE S 8G° 10'
Highway No. 45;
THENCE N 30° 18'
of Interstate Highway
185.1 feet to the east line of Interstate
W 406.3 feet, a highway marker on east line
No. 45;
THENCE N 42° 58' W 518 feet, a highway marker;
THENCE N 30° 28' W 558 feet, stake for corner;
THENCE N 922 feet to the place of beginning;
BE, and it is dAQined that said petition is granted and
said territory above described is received and hereby annexed
as a part of the City of Huntsville, Texas.
PASSED this 7th day of April, 1964, at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas.
