HUNTSVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, DEFINING WHAT ACTIONS SHALL BE UNLAW-
FUL FOR FIXING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVI1.LF, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Taxi Rules:
A. No persons shall taxi aircraft until he has ascer-
tained there will be no danger of collision with any person or
object in the immediate area.
B. All aircraft shall be taxied at a safe and reasonable
speed with due regard for other aircraft, persons, and property.
C. All aircraft on warm -up shall use the designated
area upon taxiway provided for warm -up.
D. Aircraft awaiting take -off shall stop at least 100
feet from the runway in use and in a position so as to have a
direct view of aircraft approaching for landing.
SECTION 2. Air Traffic Rules:
A. All landings and take -offs shall be made at Pil
choice (normally runway 18 will be used during calm wind condi+t ion s.)
B. No turn shall be made after take -off until the air-
port boundary :has been passed and the aircraft has attained an
altitude of 400 feet above ground and has ascertained there will
be no danger of collision with other aircraft.
C. Aircraft intending to remain in the Traffic Pattern
shall continue climb to an altitude of 800 feet above ground
(Traffic Pattern Altitude) after the first turn is made, and there -
after - follow the applicable pattern as set forth on the attached
"Traffic Pattern Chart* referred to and made a part hereof.
D. Departure from the Traffic Pattern shall be made
after the first 90° turn has been completed and before Traffic
Pattern Altitude has been reached.
E. Aircraft entering the Traffic Pattern shall conform
to the standard "Traffic Pattern" and exercise caution and courtesy
so as riot to cause aircraft already in the Pattern to deviate from
its course.
F. Deviation from the procedures shall not be made
unless the not exercises his "emergency authority."
SECTION 3.
of Any person in control of an aircraft who shall violate
any the provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of an
offense and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less
than $1.00 nor more than $200.00.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately after
its passage and approval and its publication as required by law,
and it is so ordained.
