AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE PETITION OF EDWARD BOETTCHER, ET AL, FOR THE ANNEXATION OF LANDS AND TERRITORIES CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATION CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVITJJ , WALKER COUNTY, TEXAS, AND RECEIVING AND ANNEX,. ING SUCH TERRITORY AS A PART OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVI,LE, TEXAS: WHEREAS, by petition executed and acknowledged by owners of the hereinafter described land and territories to the ex- tent of less than oneOhalf (k) mile in width in which leas than three qualified voters reside, contiguous and adjacent to the corporation city limits of the City of Huntsville filed with the City Secretary of the City of Huntsville on May 10th, 1966, requesting the annexation of such territory; NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntsville, does hereby grant such petition and receive and annex auct territory as a part of the City of Huntsville, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at Limits of the City THENCE north Highway No. 75. the southeast corner of the present City of Huntsville, Texas; to the southwest right of way of U. S. THENCE southeasterly along the northeast side of the McKinney property which is described in Volume 32, Page 384, of the Walker County Deed Records, and the southwest side of said U. S. Highway No. 75, to the southeast corner of said McKinney property; THENCE west with the south line of said McKinney pr perty to the northeast corner of a 20.5 acre tract conveyed by . B. Head to E. B. ©'Banion, according to deed recorded in Vol 83 Page 436, of the Walker County Deed Records; THENCE south to the north line of the Old Houston Rda THENCE southeasterly along the northeast aide of Cl Houston Road to the east line of the Edward Boettcher Add on, extended across the Old Houston Road; THENCE southerly with the aaid Boettcher Addition to the Gibbs Brothers and Company 26 acre tract; THENCE westerly with the south line of the Boettcher addition to the east line of Boettcher Drive; THENCE southerly with Boettcher Drive to the south line of said E. B. O'Banion 20.5 acre tract; THENCE westerly with the south line of said O'BaniOn tract to its southwest corner; THENCE northerly and northeasterly along the O'Banion west line to the L. D. Mansir tract, as the same is recorded in Volume 83, Page 1E37, of the Walker County Deed Recordd, and that line extended to the northeast side of Old Houston Road; THENCE southeasterly with the northeast line of the Old Houston Road to said McKinney southwest corner; • THENCE northerly with the McKinney went line to the south line of the present City Limits; THENCE east with the south line of the present city limits to the place of beginning. A copy of said petition and the plat attached thereto being here referred to and made a part of this ordinance for all intents and purposes. S. Highway No. 75; THENCE southeasterly along the northeast side of the M Kinney property which is described in Volume 32, Page 384, of the Walker County Deed Records, and the southwest side of said U. S. Highway No. 75, to the southeast oorner of said McKinney property; THENCE west with the south line of said McKinney props y to the northeast corner of a 205 acre tract conveyed by A. B. Head to E. B. O'Banion, according to deed recorded in Volume 83, Page 436, of the Walker County Deed Records; THENCE south to the north line of the Old Houston Road,, THENCE southeasterly along the northeast side of Old Huston Road to the east line of the Edward Boettcher Addition, extended across the Old Houston Road; THENCE southerly with the said Boettcher Addition to the Gibbs Brothers and Company 26 acre tract; THENCE westerly with the south line of the Boettcher Addition to the east line of Boettcher Drive; THENCE southerly with Boettcher Drive to the south line of said E. B. O'Banion 20.5 acre tract; THENCE westerly with the south line of said O'Banion tract to its southwest corner; THENCE northerly and northeasterly along the O'Banion west line to the L. D. Mansir tract, as the same is recorded in Volume 83, Page 437, of theWalker County Deed Records, and that line extended to the northeast side of Old Houston Road; THENCE southeasterly with the northeast line Houston Road to said McKinney southwest corner; THENCE northerly with the McKinney west line line of the present City Limits; THENCE east with the south line of the present city limits to the place of beginning. Said territory petitioned for annexation is set forth on a plat of the proposed extension tb the City Limits of the City of Huntsville, Texas, attached hereto which is refermed to and Made a part hereof for all legal purposes.
