Proc. 2018-18 - John French, First Responder of the Year Day, 3-20-18
PROCLAMATION
NO. 2018-18
WHEREAS first responders serve their community with passion and dedication due in no small part to the courage and honor with which they put others before themselves; and
WHEREAS John French takes pride in his family and career and has served our community for over 20 years; and
WHEREAS he began as a firefighter and worked his way to Captain, and now serves as the 2nd Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Huntsville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS he is also a Volunteer with Crabbs Prairie VFD and currently serves as their Assistant Fire Chief and Treasurer; and
WHEREAS John French has been a dedicated Huntsville volunteer firefighter since 2000 and a police officer of the City of Huntsville since 2007, we find him to be most deserving of recognition
as First Responder of the Year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
March 20, 2018
be declared: John French Day
in the City of Huntsville, and encourage all citizens to celebrate this special designation for one who does so much for all.
