BE IT QRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, IN
COUNCIL ASSEMBLEDs
That there is hereby levied, for the current year, 1929$ on
all real property situated and all personal property owned within the
Limits of the said City of Runtsville, Texas, on the first day of
January of the gent year, 1929p except so much as may be exempt
under the Constitution and Laws of this State or the United States,
the following taxes:
(1 An ad valorem tax of aid 4t the rate of Twenty-One
Cents 9.21 on the O Hundred(� � One Hun re Dollars ($140.00) cash value thereof;
estimated in lawful currency of the United States, for the current
expenses for the support and maintenance of the City Government of the
said City of Huntsville, Texas*
( ) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of Fifteen Cents
($0.15) on the One Hundred Dollars 0300 00) cash value thereof, esti-
mated in lawful currency of the United States, for the support and maintenance of the streets and bridges within and for the said City of
Hunt s'vi.lle, Texas:
(3) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of One and 14/100
Dollars ($1*14) Ain the One Hundred Dollars ($100,00) cash value thereof#
estimated in lawful curronoy of the United States, to pay current
interest on and provide one year's sinking fund and to pay all of the
principal and interest accruing can all outstanding sewerage bonds.,
paving bondsg funding warrants, sewer extensions, improvement warrants$
City Hall. and Fire Station Wa.rran.ts, and any and all other bonds and
warrants outsta.n.dings heretofore lawfully issued by the City of
Runtevilleg Texas, and which are now valid outstanding obligations
of the said City of Huntsville, Texas*
(4 ) An occupation tax on all persons, f irms and corporations ora
tions
doing business rit.hin the City of intsville, equal
to one-half of
that provided by law for occupation tax, due and payable to the State
of Texas m
(5) An annual tax of Five Dollars (MOO) on every able
bodied male person between the ages of twenty-one (21) and forty-five
(4v) years, subject to the payment of a street tax, as provided by
law and_ the Ordinances of said City of Bun.tsvil,le, Texas
(S) A poll tax of One Dollar ($1.00) on every i bitant
of the said City of Huntaville, Texas, over the age of 'twenty-one
years and not over sixty (60) years of age,' on the first day of
