there was held an adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City
of Huntsville, at the office of the City Secretary in said City,
the following members being present, to-wit: Hon.Sarn McKinney,
IMRY'0r, �!V* i'.Robinson, Victor Randel and Franklin Jones, Aldermen,
when the following ordinance or resolution was adopted, to-wit:

THAT WIMR11,'AS, pursuant to an advertisement published in the
Huntsville Item, calling for sealed bids, to be opened on this date,
for the; improvement of certain portions of Avenue L within the City
Limits of the City of Huntsville, `fexas, bids were received and
opened on this date, when it appearing, to the Council that the
bid of Tibbetts Construction Company was the lowest and best bid
received, which said bid or proposal. of Tibbetts Construction Company
bears even date here4,,rith, and on filing with the City Secretary is
herenow: referred to and shall be recorded in the ULinutes of this
Counci 1
IT IS FURTNI;R ORDEM1.1''D by the City Council that the said
proposal or bid of '.Tibbetts Construction Company be and 'the same is
hereby accepted, and the aNrayor is .instructed to enter into a
contract with the said Tibbetts Construction Company for the improve-
ment of said portions of Avenue L$ as set forth in 'the res!)luti.ons,
ordinances, etc. , heretofore adopted, and when the said Tibbetts
Construction Company has executed such contract and given bond
for the faithful performance thereof, the same shall be filed
with the City Secretary, for approval by this Council.
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly submitted
by the t;Tayor, referred to the Committee on Streets and Bridges and
by it referred back to the Council, with the recommendation that
the same be adopted.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED, in open Council., this 10th day of
August, 1928.
