RESO CC 1976-11 - Avenue Q no parking RESOLUTION 76-11
WHEREAS, Section 12-37 of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances
of tie CITY OF HUNTSVILLE provides that the Mayor of the City is
authorized to designate no-parking zones within the City as may be
authlrized by the City Council from time to time; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE has caused
an iIvestigation of Avenue Q between Eleventh Street and Fifteenth
Streit to determine parking conditions on the east side of said
street and has heard evidence regarding the necessity of a no-
parking zone on the east side of said street between 7:00 A.M. and
9:00 A.M. and between 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. and is of the opinion
that the area along the east side of Avenue Q between Eleventh Street
and Fifteenth Street requires that no on-street parking•be permitted
on tie pavement between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. and
3:OO P.M. and 5:00 P:M. and that such signs designating such portion
of said street as a no-parking zone are necessary for the protection
of tie public and to insure the safe flow of traffic in such area.
IOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that the Mayor of said City shall in all things be
authorized to install and hereinafter designate such portion of the-

east side of Avenue Q between Eleventh Street and Fifteenth Street
between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.
as may be necessary in the public interest as a zone where no parking
shall be permitted at the hours specified and in the area designated
above.
(HEREUPON, said Resolution was duly made and seconded and passed
