AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND FIXING THE MAXIMUM
SCHEDULES OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY PENNZOIL UNITED,
INC. , ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, IN THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS , FOR NATURAL GAS AND NATURAL GAS
SERVICE FURNISHED BY IT TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL
CONSUMERS , CONTAINING DEFINITIONS , FIXING THE EFFECTIVE
DATES OF GAS RATES PRESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, MAKING
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That Pennzoil United, Inc. , its successors and
assigns, is hereby authorized to place in effect the following schedules
of rates within the corporate limits of the City of Huntsville, Texas ,
(hereinafter called "City") for the supply of natural gas and natural gas
service:
RESIDENTIAL RATES
Rate Schedule R-115-1, a copy of which is
attached, marked Exhibit "A", and made a
part hereof.
COMMERCIAL RATES
Rate Schedule SC-115-1,a copy of which is
attached, marked Exhibit "B", and made a
part hereof.
I The above described schedules of residential rates and of commercial
rates, as adjusted in the manner therein provided, are the highest rates
that may be charged by Pennzoil United, Inc. , its successors and assigns ,
for residential consumers and commercial consumers within the City. Other
lower residential rates and commercial rates may be fixed and determined
from time to time by Pennzoil United, Inc. , its successors and assigns,
for gas and gas service furnished to residential consumers and commercial
consumers within the City.
SECTION 2. That the terms "residential consumer" and
"commercial consumer" as used herein shall be defined as set out in said
"A" and "B", respectively.
SECTION 3. That natural gas supplied by Pennzoil United, Inc . ,
its successors and assigns, is for the individual use of the consumer at

one point of delivery and shall not be resold or shared with others .

SECTION 4. That the maximum rates and charges prescribed in this
ordinance for residential consumers and commercial consumers shall apply
as maximum rates and charges on all bills rendered for gas and for gas
service on the day next following the effective date of this ordinance,
viz, the date of passage hereof.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
SECTION 6. That nothing contained in this ordinance shall be
construed as in any manner, now or hereafter, limiting or modifying the
right and power of the City, under the law, to regulate the rates charged
by Pennzoil United, Inc. , its successors and assigns, within the City.

the City of Huntsville, Texas, do hereby certify that the above and fore-
going ordinance was adopted on first reading by the City Council of said
City of Huntsville at a Council meeting held on the 9th day of June
1970, that written notice of the date, place and
subject of said meeting was posted on a bulletin board located at a place
convenient to the public in the city hall for at least the three days
preceding the day of said meeting, that the Mayor and Councilmen
John W. Amick , Thomas N. Mainer , III
Scott E . Johnson , Ferol M. Robinson ,
Marion A. King , Morris I . Waller
Paul W. Knox and
were present and voted in favor of said ordinance, that the foregoing
ordinance was adopted on second and final reading by the City Council of
said City of Huntsville, Texas, at a Council meeting held on the
day of , 1970, that written notice of the date,
place and subject of said meeting was posted on a bulletin board located
at a place convenient to the public in the city hall for at least the
three days preceding the day of said meeting, that the Mayor and Councilmen

has been duly engrossed and enrolled in the records of the City of Huntsville.

UNITED GAS DISTRIBUTION COMPANY
RESIDENTIAL NATURAL GAS SERVICE
RATE SCHEDULE R-115-1
APPLICATION OF SCHEDULE
This schedule is applicable to natural gas service to a customer in a
dwelling or a residential apartment for uses usual in a home.
Natural gas supplied hereunder is for the individual use of the customer
at one point of delivery and shall not be resold or shared with others.
NET MONTHLY RATE
$2.00 per month, which includes the use of 400 cubic feet
11.630 per 100 cubic feet for the next 2,600 cubic feet
7.630 per 100 cubic feet for the next 3,000 cubic feet
6.13fi per 100 cubic feet for all additional gas used.
Whenever revisions of the city gate rate paid by United Gas Distribution Company
are filed with the appropriate jurisdictional body, the above consumer rates shall
be adjusted, either plus or minus, to reflect the amount of the change in the average
unit cost of gas supplied under this rate schedule above or below the average unit
cost of such gas at the city gate rate in effect on the 17th day of May, 1970, such
adjusted consumer rates to apply to all gas used after the regular meter reading
dates falling on or after the effective date of such city gate rate change.
If, as a result of any decrease in the city gate rate, the Company receives
refunds of any increased costs that have been passed on to consumers under the fore-
going gas cost adjustment clause, the consumer rate adjusted as provided above which
would otherwise be in effect will be reduced to effect such refund during the twelve-
calendar-month period thereafter by an amount per one hundred cubic feet determined
by dividing the amount of such refund by the total volume of gas sold under the
above consumer rate during the twelve calendar months immediately preceding the
month in which such refund is received by the Company.
Minimum Monthly Bill: $2.00
PAYMENT
The above net monthly rate increased by 10% is the gross monthly rate.
All bills shall be rendered on the gross basis . The difference between the gross
and net rates, representing a discount, shall be allowed for payment of bills
within 10 days from date of bill.

COMMERCIAL NATURAL GAS SERVICE
RATE SCHEDULE SC-115-1
APPLICATION OF SCHEDULE
This schedule is applicable to any customer engaging in any business,
professional, or institutional activity, for all unrestricted uses of gas, including
cooking, heating, refrigeration, water heating, air conditioning and power.
Natural gas supplied hereunder is for the individual use of the customer
at one point of delivery and shall not be resold or shared with others .
NET MONTHLY RATE
$2.50 per month, which includes the use of 400 cubic feet
13.630 per 100 cubic feet for the next 3,600 cubic feet
7.630 per 100 cubic feet for the next 4,000 cubic feet
6.13C per 100 cubic feet for all additional gas used.
Whenever revisions of the city gate rate paid by United Gas Distribution Company
