the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
years of dedication and commitment are required to achieve Eagle rank and
Eagle Scouts act as leaders and role models in the community; and
Brandon Scott Miller of Huntsville, Texas has earned 38 merit badges in his
years of scouting; and
Brandon has served as Senior patrol leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol
Leader, and Scribe, and has assisted Cub Scout Pack 98 as a Den Chief; and
WHEREAS Brandon made a significant contribution to the City of Huntsville by
volunteering at the COME Center, working with and leading others to
organize a critical outreach source for the community; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville is proud of Brandon Scott Miller as he exemplifies the
values that make a community strong;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:

be declared: "Brandon Scott Miller Day"
in the City of Huntsville and call upon our citizens to join in the celebration of his achievement and
acknowledge his special contributions to our community.
