NO. 2012-14
WHEREAS State Representative Lois Kolkhorst was elected to represent Texas
House District 13 in 2000 and began her work for the area in 2001;
and
WHEREAS in the ten years she served Walker County, Rep. Kolkhorst worked
tirelessly to represent the interests of local citizens and to secure
crucial funding for the area; and
WHEREAS Rep. Kolkhorst's continual efforts paved the way for endeavors
including the State Highway 19 expansion and the H.E.A.R.T.S
Veterans Museum expansion and relocation; and
WHEREAS on a personal level, Rep. Kolkhorst has always been both a sincere
and outgoing individual, always willing to go the extra mile to defend
the special interests of Huntsville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me
as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
November 1, 2011
be declared:
"Representative Lois Kolkhorst Day"
in the City of Huntsville, and call upon our citizens to celebrate the service of Representative
Kolkhorst to the City of Huntsville and Walker County for the last ten years.
