AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, PROHIBITING
PARKING ALONG 11TH STREET FROM AVENUE J TO HIGHWAY 190 -EAST
AND PROHIBITING ALL PARKING ALONG A PORTION OF HIGHWAY 190 -EAST
EAST FROM HIGHWAY 30; PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO
HUNDRED AND NO /100 ($200.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT,
Section 1: The following areas are hereby designated a no parking zone:
llth Street (both sides) from Avenue J east about 2,350 feet
to its intersection with Highway 190 East;
Highway 190 East (both sides) from llth Street east about
3,900 feet to its intersection with the City's east boundary
line.
Section 2: The City's Street division is hereby authorized and directed
to post proper signs along the above described locations.
Section 3: It shall be an offense for any person operating a motor vehicle
to stop, stand, or park a vehicle in the designated area, except
as directed by a peace officer.
Section 4: Any person violating the providons of this ordinance shall be
punished by a fine of not more than two hundred ($200.00) dollars
and each violation shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the
terms of this ordinance are repealed, but only to the extent of
such inconsistency.
Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days
of its passage by City Council. The City Secretary is directed
to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance
to be published in the official newspaper of the City at least
twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance.
