ORD CC 12/06/1927 - Bond3E IT R NENBERED that on this 6th day of :;)ecember, 1927,
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntsville,
a quorum being present, when came on to be heard the oral
application of G.L.Clark to substitute a _pond in the sum of Six
Thousand Seven hundred Forty One and no /iGG 06,741.00) Dollars,
covering the paving contract entered into November 17, 1927,
dated November 25, 1927, with the American Indemnity Company,
as surety thereon, in lieu of the bond heretofore approved by the
City Council, -;ith the personal sureties Lewis E.Ball and V.R.
Nance thereon; and it appearing to the Council that it was
understood at the time said personal bonds given that the same
would be substituted by a bond later to be delivered, with a
Surety Company as surety thereon, and it further appearing to the
Council that the bond tendered by the said G.I.Clark with the
said American Indemnity Company as surety the2eon, is in proper
form and is sufficient to protect the City and all interested
parties, under the aforesaid contract, and that said bond
with personal sureties should be with- drawn:
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND RESOLVED by said City
Council that said bond of G.L.Clark, with personal sureties,
as aforesaid, be withdrawn, and the bond of the said G.L.C..• .rk,
dated November 25, 1927, with the American Indemnity Company as
surety thereon, be substituted in lieu thereof, and - ;:hich said
substituted bond is here now in all respects approved and
confirmed, and that the same shall be recorded by the City Secretary
in the Minutes of this Council, along with the aforesaid contract
heretofore entered into by and
