An ordinance prohibiting the sale and discharge of torpedoes, rockets and other fireworks
within the City of Huntsville, assesoing the penalty not in excess of $100.00 for violation
thereof, repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith and declaring an emergency.
BE IT OeDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: No person, fine compeny„ corporation or association shall oast, throw or fire
any squib, rocket, cracker, torpedo, grenade or toher combustible fireworks of an kind in
the City of Huotsville.
SECTION 2: No person, firn, oompany„ corporation or association shall exhibio or have in his
possession, with intent to eive away or sell or offer for sale or sell, within the City of
Huntsville, any squib, rocket, cracker, torpedo or grenade, or other combustible fireworks
of any kind in the City of Huntsqille,
SECTION 3: Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to apply to the sale, storage or use
of railroad track torpedoes, or other signalling devices used by railroads, nor to the sale
storage or use of flashlieht composition by photographers or dealers in photographic supplies.
SECTION 41 Any person, firm, corporation, company or association who shall violate any of
the provisions of this ordinance, or suffer or allow the same to be violated, shall upon
conviction therefor be subject to a fine of not more than Ono Hundred ($100,00) Dollars.
SECTION 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6: In view of the fact tat this ordinance is neoessary for the immediate proteo-
tion and preservation of the public health, safety and general welfare, it becomes necessary
that this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its pass .
age, and it is aoocrdingly so ordained.
