AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS
AUTHORIZING GULF STATES UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE INTO EFFECT THE
SAME SCHEDULE OF RATES OR TARIFF AS IS APPROVED, ACCEPTED, OR PRO-
VIDED FOR BY THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION OF TEXAS IN ITS FINAL
ORDER IN ITS DOCKET NO. 2677, OR THE SAME SCHEDULE OF RATES OR
TARIFF AS IS APPROVED, ACCEPTED, AFFIRMED, ORDERED, OR PROVIDED FOR
BY ANY COURT HAVING APPELLATE JURISDICTION OF THE COMMISSION'S
FINAL ORDER IN DOCKET NO. 2677, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
FOR SUCH RATE SCHEDULES OR TARIFF.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, that
Section 1
Gulf States Utilities Company has filed a Statement of Intent, and a
Petition for Authority to Change Rates, and a proposed new tariff with the
City of Huntsville, Texas. Gulf States Utilities Company has also filed a
Statement of Intent and Petition for Authority to Change Rates, and a pro-
posed new tariff with the Public Utility Commission of Texas. The Public
Utility Commission of Texas has assigned the above referenced filing its
Docket No. 2677.
Section 2
Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to place into effect
the same schedule of rates or tariff as is approved, accepted, or provided for
by the Public Utility Commission of Texas in its final order in its Docket No.
2677, or the same schedule of rates or tariff as is approved, accepted, affirmed,
ordered, or provided for by any court having appellate jurisdiction of the Commis -
sion's final order in Docket No. 2677. The effective date of such schedule of
rates or tariff shall be the same date as that provided for in the Commission's
final order in Docket No. 2677'or that date provided for by any court having
appellate jurisdiction of the Commission's final order in Docket No. 2677.
Section 3
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any manner
now or hereafter limiting or modifying the right and power of the City Council
under the law to regulate the rates charged by Gulf States Utilities Company
for its services within the City of Huntsville, Texas.
Passed on first reading at the regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Huntsville, on the 31st day of July, A.D., 1979.
