AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION 11 -2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, BY ADOPTING THE 1965 RECOMMENDATIONS
OF THE U. S. PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE,' ENTITLED: "GRADE 'A' PASTEURIZED
MILK ORDINANCE," PUBLISHED BY THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION,
AND WELFARE, PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE, WHICH DEFINES "MILK" AND CERTAIN
"MILK PRODUCTS," "MILK PRODUCER," "PASTEURIZATION," ETC.; PROHIBITING
THE SALE OF ADULTERATED AND MISBRANDED MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS; REQUIRING
PERMITS FOR THE SALE OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS; REGULATING THE INSPECTION
OF DAIRY FARMS AND MILK PLANTS, AND THE EXAMINATION, LABELING, PASTEURIZATION, .
DISTRIBUTION AND SALE OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS; PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF FUTURE DAIRY FARMS AND MILK PLANTS, THE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND
THE FIXING OF PENALTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
. that Chapter 11, Section 11 -2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, be amended as follows:
Section 1: Section 11 -2 of Chapter 11 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Huntsville, is amended as follows:
It is hereby adopted as the official Milk Code for the City of
Huntsville, Texas, the 1965 Recommendations of the U. S. Public Health
Service, entitled: "Grade 'A' Pasteurized Milk Ordinance," published by
the U. S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, Public Health
Service, of which Code, one copy is on file in the Office of the City
Health Officer, and the same is adopted and is incorporated as a part
hereof, as fully as if set out at length herein, save and except such
provisions of such Code as may be in conflict with any provision of this
chapter.
Section 2: Be it further ordained that all ordinances or parts of
ordinances conflicting with any provisions of the 1965 Recommendations
of the U. S. Public Health Service, entitled "Grade 'A4 Pasteurized..
MilknOrdinance Biare"hertby repealed, to the extent-of such conflict only.
Section 3. Be it further ordained that this ordinance shall be and is in
effect from the date originally adopted by the Council in the Council
Meeting of December 6, 1966,
