PAVING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the State Highway Department of the State of
Texas proposes to widen U. S. Highway 190 E (11th Street) from
the east boundary line of the P. Gray League, thence westerly
3,120 feet to the existing curbs and gutters on U. S. Highway
190 E (11th Street) and it is imperative that the city improve
that portion of said street by the causing to be installed
concrete curbs and gutters on the said street in the following
manner:
That U. S. Highway 190 E(llth Street) from the east
boundary of the P. Gray League, Abstract No. 24, thence west-
erly 3,120 feet to the existing curbs and gutters on said
street be improved by the installation of concrete curbs and
gutters on each side thereof.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY1HE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,TEXAS:
That a necessity exists for the improvement of said portion
of U. S. Highway 190 E (11th Street) by the installation of con-
crete curbs and gutters on each side thereof and improving said
portion of said street as hereinabove described. That N. B.
Davidson, City Engineer, prepare and file with the City Council,
plans and specifications of such work and preliminary estimate
of the costs thereof.
Be it further ordained that the Mayor of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, be, and he is hereby authorized, to enter
into Mechanic's and Materialman's Lien Contracts with the
abutting property owners in accordance with this ordinance and
in accordance with ordinances hereafter to be enacted for such
installation and improvement of such street.
On motion duly made and seconded the above and foregoing
ordinance was read before a regular meeting of the City Council,
voted upon and passed by unanimous vote of the Council and was
duly adopted this 10th day of December, 1968.
