AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE ONE OF CHAPTER SIX OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, BY THE ADDITION OF
SECTION 6 -6, REQUIRING PRESENTATION OF A RECEIPT SHOWING PAYMENT
OF BUILDING PERMITS BEFORE ANY UTILITY INSTALLATIONS ARE MADE TO
PREMISES UPON WHICH NEW CONSTRUCTION IS TO BE INSTALLED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
Section 6 -6 of Article 1 of Chapter 6 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, shall hereafter
read as follows:
Section 6 -6. Permit Receipt Required.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporktion
to furnish utility connections for electricity, gas, or watercv.x2.
to any premises upon which new construction is to be or has been
placed without being furnished by the owner, lessee, or agent,
or either, or the architect or builder employed by such owner
or lessee in connection with the erection or proposed erection
of any construction on any premises, a receipt from the building
inspector showing a permit to do such construction has been
obtained and the permit fee paid to the City of Huntsville.
ADOPTED AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, ON THIS 6th DAY OF OCTOBER, 1964.
