A. D. 1888, at the City Council rooms of the City of Huntsville,
in said city, a regular meeting of the City Council was held,
at which were present the Mayor and following named Aldermen:

F. 0. Brown, J. D. Clarke, J. L. Smith, H. F. Adiokes and W. E.
Markham, and two thirds of all the Aldermen of said city
voting in favor of the following ordinanoe, the same was
declared passed and adopted!
Be it ordained by the City Council of Huntsville in oounoil
assembled:
That the general laws of this State appertaining to
cities and towns as found and contained in Chapters one, two,
three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and eleven,
title seventeen of the Revised Civil Statutes, and the amend-
ments thereto passed by. the Sixteenth Legislature of this State,
approved Marsh 17, 1879, and all other amendments thereto, be
and the same are hereby aooepted and adopted as the laws
governing the City of Huntsville.

County of Wacker: I, T. H. Ball, Mayor of the City of Hunts-
ville, do hereby declare and oertify that the foregoing ordinance
was unanimously- passed and adopted by the City Council' of said
City at a regular meeting thereof held in said city on the 4th
day of December, A. D. 1888.
