RESO 2012-02 - Natural Preservation Ad Hoc Committee establishedRESOLUTION
NO, 2012-02
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville, Texas, is a home rule city and the City of
Huntsville City Council finds that it is important to enhance the quality of life
in the city;
WHEREAS the City Council finds that the promotion of high - quality development
in all parts of the city and throughout Walker County helps to enhance the
quality of life in Huntsville and the promotion of employment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
1. City Staff is directed to, as an ongoing process, prepare forms,
applications and other written guidelines for the creation of the non - profit
economic development corporation in accordance with statutes and the
Texas Constitution and submit to City Council for approval.
2. The City Council authorizes the Economic Development Ad Hoc
Committee to continue forward and report back to City Council.
